Undergraduates in Biological Engineering are in Good Standing if they are making acceptable progress toward completion of the requirements for graduation. Acceptable progress in BE is defined as meeting the following requirements:

  • Semester GPA ≥ 2.0
  • Cumulative GPA ≥ 2.0
  • A semester GPA ≥ 2.0 in core BE courses: categories 1-4 and categories 7 and 8
  • 12 credit hours each semester
  • No failing grades.
  • At most one grade below C- may be used to fulfill the BE degree requirements in the following categories: required Core Courses, categories 2-4 and categories 7 and 8. Grade(s) below C– in these courses, beyond the first, will require that one or more course(s) be repeated. The College of Engineering also requires that each course in the required mathematics sequence – 1910, 1920, 2930, 2940 – be passed with a grade of C- or better.
