Lab safety training

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The BE and EnvE accreditation agreements require that our students complete laboratory safety training.

The best way to complete this is via Cornell’s online basic lab safety course EHS 2555.

If you have not yet taken the training:

  1. Browse to culearn.cornell.edu
  2. Select “CornellNetID users” and log in
  3. In the search field* , type “EHS 2555”
  4. Click “View Classes”
  5. Find the web-based course and click “Enroll”.
  6. Complete the course
  7. Select Print Certificate at the end, and save it as a PDF.
  8. Hold onto the completion certificate and email it to Brenda Marchewka when you receive your first official PPF.

If you have already completed the training as part of a research position or for another academic course,

  1. Browse to culearn.cornell.edu
  2. Select “Cornell NetID Users” and log in
  3. Select “Me” from the round icons
  4. In the box marked “Learning and Certifications” click on “Completed”, find EHS 2555 and click Print Certificate, then save as PDF.
  5. Or, if this box doesn’t exist for you, click on Completed Learning, find EHS 2555 and click Print Certificate, then save as PDF.
  6. Hold onto the completion certificate and email it to Brenda Marchewka when you receive your first official PPF.
